Best News Ever 1/7/2016

So normally we post and share feel good and human interest type stories here. Today however we felt this news was too important and excellent not to share.

In Bellevue WA the King County Sheriff John Urquhart, and cooperating law enforcement agencies, shut down two sex trafficking websites, closed 12 brothels and arrested a dozen people in the connection of the trafficking and sexual enslavement of 12 women. The women all South Korean had been forced to work as prostitutes for as much as 12 hours a day, 7 days a week to pay off debts of their families incurred.

 Twelve South Korean women were rescued from the brothels and will be eligible for visas to remain in the U.S., he said.

Urquhart said many of the women were forced to work as prostitutes in order to pay off debt incurred by traveling to the U.S.

“These women are true victims, make no mistake about it,” said Urquhart.

The women will all receive medical attention and counseling as well as visas.
